Back to basics…a quiet place to enjoy nature with family, friends or by yourself…a small lakefront cottage that offers an inexpensive get-away to relax and enjoy fishing, feeding the ducks or shallow water swimming from a private dock or just laying around on the enclosed porch or outdoor deck which has a gas grill, a table and chairs and overlooks a firepit. This two bedroom cottage has a fully equipped kitchen so all you need is your food and linens. Watch the sun rise over the hills, enjoy a hot shower, or just sit on the porch and enjoy the rays. But, if you’re in the mood to go out and about, the ferry to Bemus Point is only two lots away (be sure not to miss the last return trip of the evening) and carries pedestrians, bikers or automobiles or you can drive over the nearby bridge that connects to restaurants, gift shops, an arcade, basketball courts, a sandy beach and a modern playground. The Village of Lakewood is five miles away and has a shopping mall, cinema center, grocery stores, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Home Depot, Starbucks and lots of restaurants or pizzerias. The cottage is 5 miles from Chautauqua Institute and several golf courses. And, one the best parts…no mosquitos…day or night!!!! Come on down...leave the city behind.***Special note: although cottage is not wheelchair accessible it is wheelchair friendly and does have portable ramps...the lake and the dock can be seen from the enclosed porch or outside deck so you can enjoy the outdoors without using the stairs. Both entrances have a railing and a few stairs for guests or visitors with limited mobility***.
